DryShips Q3 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - DryShips Inc. (DRYS), Monday reported third-quarter net loss of $63.9 million or $0.17 per share, compared to $51.3 million or $0.13 per share last year.

Excluding the special items, the company's net results would have amounted to a net loss of $27.6 million, or $0.07 per share.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected a loss of $0.05 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues for the quarter were $404.9 million compared to $343.6 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $352.69 million for the quarter.
