Ducommun Gets Contract From UTC Aerospace For Braking System Upgrade

(RTTNews) - Ducommun Inc. (DCO), a manufacturer of Electronic and Structural Systems in the aerospace, defense and industrial markets, Wednesday announced that it has received a multimillion-dollar contract from UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (UTX).

Under the deal, Ducommun will manufacture complex electronic assemblies for an upgrade to the braking system of a major commercial aircraft program. Production is taking place at Ducommun's operations centers in Appleton, Wis., Huntsville, Ark., and Joplin, Mo.

Earlier, the company signed a long-term supply agreement with United Technologies in 2015 to provide complex electronic and structural assemblies and systems across UTC's aerospace business units.
