Earnings Watch For July 22 (NFLX, MCD, HAL, TXN, KMB)
(RTTNews) - Los Gatos, California-based Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) is expected to post second-quarter results after the market closes. The earnings of the internet television network service provider are expected to surge to $0.40 per share from $0.11 per share earned a year ago. Quarterly revenues are estimated at $1.07 billion, higher than the $889.16 million reported a year earlier. The stock closed Friday at $264.58. (52-wk H/L $270.31/$52.81)
Hamburger chain McDonald's Corp. (MCD) is scheduled to report second quarter results before the markets open. The Oak Brook, Illinois-based company is expected to post earnings of $1.40 per share, compared to $1.32 per share reported last year. Also, the company is anticipated to generate revenues of $7.09 billion, up from $6.92 billion generated a year ago. The company's shares closed Friday's session at $100.27. (52-wk H/L $103.70/$83.31)
Oilfield services provider Halliburton Co. (HAL) is slated to report second quarter results before the opening bell. The company is expected to post earnings of $0.72 per share, lower than the year-ago quarter's $0.80 per share. The Houston, Texas-based company is projected to report revenues of $7.25 billion, up slightly from $7.23 billion last year. The company's shares closed Friday's session at $45.83. Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN), the world's largest maker of analog chips, is also due to report its second quarter results after the close of trading. The company is expected to earn $0.41 per share, down from $0.44 per share a year ago, while quarterly revenues are anticipated to decline to $3.06 billion from last year's $3.34 billion. The company's shares closed Friday's session at $37.26. ( 52-wk H/L $38.16/$26.14)
Health care products maker Kimberly-Clark Corp (KMB) will post its second quarter results. The earnings of the company are expected to rise to $1.39 per share from $1.30 per share reported a year earlier, while quarterly revenues are anticipated to grow to $5.34 billion from last year's $5.27 billion. On the NYSE, KMB closed Friday's trade at $99.49. (52-wk H/L $106.54/$81.29)
