EchoStar Q3 Profit Soars, Tops Estimates - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - EchoStar Corp. (SATS) Thursday reported higher earnings for the third quarter, as total revenue grew year-over-year. Profit and revenue beat analysts' estimates.

Net income attributable to EchoStar common stock surged to $64.1 million or $0.69 per share from $4.3 million or $0.05 a year ago.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.38 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Quarterly revenues improved to $896 million from $849 million last year, while analysts were looking for revenues of $887.76 million.
