Meddah earned her degree in Organic Chemistry, Drug Design, Formulation and Ethics from Technical University of Denmark in 2002. She then went on to study Chemical Engineering and General Chemistry at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse in 2003, her DEA degree in Organic Chemistry from Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar and then earned a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the Universitat de Barcelona in 2007, where she also completed extensive research. She is also fluent in French, German and Spanish as well as English.

To further her professional development, Meddah is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, which named her as a member of its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is also a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers.

When not working, Meddah enjoys playing golf and tennis, going to the gym, watching movies and going to see shows.
