Energy Partners Falls To Loss In Q2, Misses View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Energy Partners, L.P. (EVEP) Monday reported second-quarter net loss of $9 million or $0.19 per limited partner unit compared with profit of $32.8 million or $0.74 per limited partner unit last year. On average, 9 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.29 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items. Quarterly revenues, however, rose to $89.36 million from $81.60 million a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $93.60 million. In addition, the company said, it will sell certain deep rights in the Eagle Ford formation in Burleson, Brazos and Grimes Counties to an undisclosed buyer for $30 million. The transaction is expected to close by October 15.
