Entravision Communications Corporation Appoints David Burke to Vice President of Local Sales For Its Three Divisions
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Entravision Communications Corporation announced today that it has appointed David Burke to the position of Vice President of Local Sales. He will be responsible for overseeing local advertising sales across the company's radio, television and outdoor divisions. While Mr. Burke will concentrate on local sales, Eddie Melendez will now concentrate on national sales for Entravision's television and radio divisions. Mr. Melendez has been with Entravision for the past four and a half years as Vice President of Sales for the television division. Effective immediately, Mr. Burke will be based at the company's Los Angeles, California offices.
With more than 30 years of media and advertising experience, Mr. Burke most recently held the position of President of Burke Media Marketing, Inc., a consulting firm he founded, representing over 400 businesses per year and offering its clients analysis of their advertising strategies and execution. Mr. Burke also founded BlueMarble Communications, a full-service advertising agency with clients in the retail, state agency, automotive, financial services and software categories. In addition to marketing and advertising, Mr. Burke has also held production positions in television broadcasting and served as a general manager and executive vice president for radio stations in a variety of large and small markets across the United States. In his broadcast television career, Mr. Burke is credited as a founding member of CNN, having helped build and eventually run its Los Angeles, California news bureau.
