Executive Management changes at Swedbank

Regulatory News:

Anders Ekedahl, currently head of Savings Banks Business at Swedbank, has been appointed head of Group IT, a new position with overall responsibility for Group IT. Anders Ekedahl succeeds Mats Engstrand as member of Swedbank's Group Executive Committee. Mats Engstrand will continue his role as CIO. Johan Smedman has been appointed head of Savings Banks Business. He is currently head of Swedbank's Central Region.

Anders Ekedahl has worked at Swedbank since 1987 and has a proven track record and experience in many different business areas of the bank. His previous positions included heading the following business operations: head of Customer Offerings and Products, Payments, Card Operations and Corporate Business.

Johan Smedman has been at Swedbank since 2009, starting as regional manager. Prior to joining Swedbank, he was CEO at Roslagen Savings Bank. Internal recruitment for a new Central Region head has begun.

The changes will take effect at the turn of the year.
