Expeditors International Q1 Profit Increases - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. (EXPD) announced net earnings attributable to shareholders of $106.70 million for the first quarter of 2015, compared with $83.82 million for the same quarter of 2014, an increase of 27%. Net earnings per share for the first quarter were $0.55, up from $0.42 last year.

Total revenues for the quarter grew to $1.68 billion from $1.49 billion in the prior year. Net revenues for the first quarter increased 14% to $529.49 million from $464.59 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.48 per share and revenues of $1.62 billion. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
