Extreme Networks Appoints Gary Newbold as Vice President of Asia-Pacific Sales

SINGAPORE, Aug. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Extreme Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR), a leader in high performance networking from campus to data centers, today announced the appointment Gary Newbold as Vice President of Sales for Asia-Pacific.  Based in Singapore, Newbold will oversee the entire region highlighted by China, Korea, Australia, Japan, and India. 

Newbold is an experienced sales leader with a track record of success in the network market, having joined Extreme Networks from 3COM in 2009.  Newbold assumes his new role as Extreme Networks kicks-off its Asia-Pacific Channel Partner conference, the week of August 12^th in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  Hundreds of partners will attend the event to enrich their experience and be addressed by executive leadership, including Newbold, Extreme Networks' CEO Chuck Berger and Nancy Shemwell, EVP of Global Sales.
