F5’s VIPRION Application Delivery Controller Selected by Recruit to Address Traffic Growth and Simplify Operations Management
F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that Recruit Co., Ltd., has selected the F5® VIPRION® solution, a chassis-based Application Delivery Controller (ADC), to address ever-increasing traffic levels and reduce the complexity of its IT infrastructure. Headquartered in Japan, Recruit is an integrated media communication company that matches individuals and companies with the goods and services that will best suit their needs. Through optimized application performance with VIPRION, Recruit can now better support its business services portfolio across a number of industries including human resources, education, housing, bridal, travel, automobiles, fine food, beauty, fashion, and lifestyles.
"IT departments at today’s organizations are tasked with enabling the availability and manageability of online services and applications across multiple data centers,” said Tadao Nagasaki, Country Manager, Japan at F5. "Traditional ‘one-off’ network improvement efforts often result in complicated network structures and an increased burden on operations management. VIPRION enables organizations to build a simple and agile infrastructure that addresses the dynamic needs of their business.”
To help organizations scale their infrastructures and services, VIPRION’s processing power can quickly be augmented by simply adding a blade without changing system configurations, even as traffic surges or business needs change. As blades are added, VIPRION appears to the system administrator as a single device, eliminating the need to manage multiple devices to achieve a comparable level of processing power.
With VIPRION, Recruit can also leverage F5’s unique open API (application programming interface), iControl®, to automate daily operations management tasks, ensure effective operations management, and reduce the risk of human error.
"As web-based business continues to grow, expanding IT infrastructures will become more complex and capital investments will have an even greater impact on corporate earnings,” continued Nagasaki. "The decision to introduce F5’s VIPRION ADC solution is in line with Recruit’s ongoing efforts to seek out ways to aggregate servers while cutting costs. We are delighted to help support the future growth of Recruit’s business with VIPRION’s seamless and cost-conscious scale-on-demand flexibility.”
