Ferro Corp. Profit Climbs 44% In Q1

(RTTNews) - Ferro Corp. (FOE) revealed earnings for its first quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $26.59 million, or $0.31 per share. This was higher than $18.44 million, or $0.22 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.25 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 15.5% to $320.56 million. This was up from $277.45 million last year.
