First Charter Bank Donates $25,000 for New Lincoln County YMCA

First Charter Corporation (NASDAQ:FCTR) announced a donation of $25,000 for a new East Lincoln, North Carolina YMCA educational and recreational facility. The new facility will be named "Sally’s Y”, in memory of Sally Clark, daughter of Jo and David Clark of Lincoln County. First Charter Lincoln County City Executive Micah Lee and First Charter President and CEO Bob James presented the $25,000 donation to YMCA Executive director Ron Johnston and Jo and David Clark at the site of the new YMCA in East Lincoln. The facility will be located in a new East Lincoln development near Optimist Club Road and is expected to be completed in 2009. "First Charter is committed to helping community organizations provide resources and services that enhance the lives of the individuals living and working in our communities,” commented Bob James, First Charter president and CEO. "We are pleased to partner with the Lincoln County YMCA and other community partners to help Sally’s Y become a reality.” Ron Johnston, Lincoln County YMCA Executive Director commented, "With First Charter’s contribution, we’re pleased to near the $6 million fundraising mark of our $7 million campaign goal.
