Florida Legal Periodicals Becomes Part of LexisNexis(R)

LexisNexis, a leading provider of information and services solutions, today announced that it has acquired the assets of Florida Legal Periodicals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Law Bulletin Publishing Company of Chicago. Florida Legal Periodicals is a market leader in the collection and distribution of Florida and Alabama verdict and settlement information. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Since 1981, Florida Legal Periodicals, based in Tallahassee, has acquired and delivered verdict and settlement information in both print and electronic media, including: Alabama Jury Verdict Reporter; Florida Jury Verdict Reporter and Florida Session Law Reporter. In addition, the company provides research services to attorneys seeking verdict information from its large database of content. Florida Legal Periodicals, Inc., was acquired by Law Bulletin Publishing Company in 2000. "Adding Florida Legal Periodicals content secures key verdict and settlement information to help attorneys and other legal professionals better assess and analyze their own cases based on previous court outcomes,” said Michael Gersch, vice president of Litigation Services for LexisNexis.
