FuelCell Energy Post Wider Than Estimated Q4 Loss

(RTTNews) - FuelCell Energy, Inc. (FCEL) reported a net loss for the fourth quarter of $10.5 million, or $0.06 per share, compared to a net loss of $12.1 million or $0.07 per share, for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net loss for the fourth quarter was $9.4 million or $0.05 per share, compared to an adjusted net loss of $8.1 million and $0.05 per share in the prior year quarter.

Total revenues for the fourth quarter rose to $55.2 million from $35.4 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.03 per share on revenue of $44.83 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
