Gerald F. Dionne, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who's Who

WINCHESTER, Mass., Jan. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Gerald F. Dionne, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Research Science field. An esteemed higher education institution for over 150 years, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was founded on the basis of the advancement of knowledge to students in the areas of science, technology and other concentrations to better equip the world in the 21st century.

Dr. Dionne serves as a Research Scientist in the Lincoln Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He brings over 50 years of field experience, as well as expertise in the areas of chemical bonding, characterization, experimentation, research, magnetism theory, materials science and spectroscopy, to his role.

Over the course of his career in scientific research, Dr. Dionne has developed and holds multiple U.S. patents for microwave superconducting magnetic optical and medical technology, in addition to his consulting work with MIT. He is also a published author in the field – having contributed a significant chapter to the book "Handbook of Magnetism," as well as chapters to journals. Dr. Dionne is also the author of a textbook titled "Magnetic Oxides," which was published in 2009.

Dr. Dionne holds a Ph. D. in Physics from McGill University, where he also earned his B. Eng. Degree in Engineering Physics with High Honors. Additionally, Dr. Dionne holds a Master of Science degree in Physics from Carnegie-Mellon University as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics, (Summa Cum Laude) from Loyola College (University of Montreal).

To further his professional development, Dr. Dionne is a respected Fellow of both the IEEE and the American Physical Society. He is also a member of the Materials Research Society.

As a result of his outstanding accomplishments in the field, Dr. Dionne has been recognized by various organizations for his successes. He remains a member of the Society of Sigma Xi, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World and Marquis Who's Who.

When not working, Dr. Dionne enjoys playing doubles tennis. He dedicates this recognition to his mentor, John B. Goodenough.
