Google Maps With Cool New 'Pit Stop' Feature

(RTTNews) - The latest Google maps on iOS will come with a special option to add pit stops. The feature has been available in Android from October. Google maps are currently available in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Pits stops will help you take a detour from the navigation available and can add gas stations, grocery stores, coffee shops or restaurants on the way. It can be accessed by tapping the magnifying glass at the top right corner of the screen, when it is in navigation mode. As you add a pit stop, the estimated additional time to your final destination will be added to your tour plan. The map itself will suggest a few options for the customers.

In November, Google maps had introduced an offline option to help download maps for offline use.
