GoPro Shares Soar In Nasdaq Debut

(RTTNews) - Shares of action sports camera maker GoPro Inc (GPRO) soared in their trading debut on the Nasdaq Global Select Market Thursday following a succesful initial public offering.

The San Mateo, California-based company priced its IPO of 17.8 million shares of its Class A common stock at a price to the public of $24 per share, which was at the top end of the previously estimated range of $21 to $24 per share.

GoPro is offering 8.9 million shares and certain selling stockholders are offering an equivalent number of shares. In addition, certain of the selling stockholders have granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2.67 million shares.

GoPro shares are currently trading at $31.52 after trading as high as $33.00 earlier in the session.
