Gordmans Stores Q2 Loss Narrows; Issues Q3 Outlook - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Gordmans Stores, Inc. (GMAN), an Omaha-based apparel and home décor retailer, posted second-quarter net loss of $3.0 million, narrower than $3.2 million in the comparable quarter last year. Loss per share was $0.16, same as last year.
Net loss for the 2015 second quarter, as adjusted to exclude the debt extinguishment charge, narrowed to $1.8 million, or $0.09 per share from $3.2 million or $0.16 per share, in the second quarter of fiscal 2014. On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.14 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net sales for the latest second quarter rose by 1.7% to $143.43 million from $141.04 million in the prior year, while three analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $145.45 million for the quarter.
Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company expects loss per share in the range of $0.15 to $0.12 and net sales to be between $153 million and $156 million. Analysts currently expect third quarter earnings of $0.10 per share on revenues of $155.79 million.
