Governments of Canada and Manitoba join forces to launch BizPaL in the Town of Winnipeg Beach

Free online business permit and licence service saves time, cuts red tape and helps entrepreneurs

WINNIPEG BEACH, MB, Oct. 20, 2017 /CNW/ - Starting and running a business in the Town of Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba, just became easier thanks to BizPaL, an online business permit and licence service that saves time spent on paperwork and helps entrepreneurs start up faster.

The Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister of Small Business and Tourism, and the Honourable Blaine Pedersen, Manitoba's Minister of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, are pleased to announce the implementation of BizPaL in the Town of Winnipeg Beach, located in the Interlake Region of Manitoba. This announcement was made during Small Business Week, an annual event that celebrates and promotes Canada's entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).

BizPaL saves time and money for entrepreneurs and business owners searching for information. Users can simply select the business activities they plan to undertake, and BizPaL automatically generates a list of required permits and licences from federal, provincial and municipal governments, along with basic information on each. The list provided also includes links to the various government websites where entrepreneurs can learn more and, in some cases, apply online.

BizPaL is managed across the province through Entrepreneurship Manitoba as part of its mandate to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship in urban, rural and northern Manitoba by supporting start-ups, developing entrepreneurial leadership capacity and ensuring programming that supports SME growth.
