HealthPass New York Expands Health Insurance Options for NYC Small Businesses with Addition of Easy Choice Health Plan of New York
NEW YORK, July 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthPass New York, an independent, not-for-profit, commercial health insurance exchange for small businesses, today announced that it has expanded the number of health benefit options for New York City small employers with the addition of Easy Choice Health Plan of New York. The partnership with Easy Choice, a New York State licensed Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), expands the number of health insurance carrier choices and plan options through the HealthPass platform.
HealthPass will offer six Easy Choice HMO plans to eligible employers who employ between two and 50 employees. Employees must be employed or reside in one of the city's five boroughs to be eligible to enroll in an Easy Choice plan.
Under the agreement, small employers and their employees can begin enrolling in Easy Choice plans on October 1, 2013 for coverage that would take effect immediately. The six HMO options provide a variety of plan design choices providing rich in-network benefit coverage options, as well as specialist visits without referral. An added advantage of Easy Choice is its partnership with AMG Medical Group throughout New York City and Nassau County. At AMG Medical Group, Easy Choice members receive various concierge services including preventive care, x-rays and EKGs without having to pay a deductible or co-pay.
