Hexcel Q3 Profit Tops View; Lifts FY13 Adj. EPS Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Hexcel Corp. (HXL) Monday reported third-quarter net income of $48.7 million or $0.48 per share, compared to $39.8 million, or $0.39 per share in the prior-year quarter.

On average, 16 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.46 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Third-quarter revenues were $412.30 million, up 5.3 percent from $391.60 million last year, while fifteen analysts expected revenues of $428.63 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal year 2013, the company updated its outlook and now expects adjusted earnings to be in the range of $1.80 to $1.86 per share and revenues in the range of $1.66 billion to $1.69 billion. Analysts currently expect earnings of $1.82 per share on revenues of $1.70 billion for fiscal 2013.

Earlier, the company expected adjusted earnings to be in the range of $1.73 to $1.83 per share and revenues in the range of $1.64 billion to $1.74 billion.
