Hilton Worldwide Raises 2017 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (HLT) raised its outlook for fiscal 2017.

The company now expects earnings per share, before special items, to be between $1.61 and $1.68; Earnings, adjusted for special items,of $1.78 - $1.85, and net income of $534 million and $559 million for 2017. Previously, the company expected earnings from continuing operations before special items of $1.58 to $1.65 per share, adjusted earnings per share of $1.73 to $1.81, and net income to be in a range of $529 million to $554 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $1.83 per share for 2017. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Annual System-wide RevPAR is expected to increase between 1.0 percent and 3.0 percent on a comparable and currency neutral basis compared to 2016.

For the third-quarter, System-wide RevPAR is expected to increase between 0.0 percent and 2.0 percent on a comparable and currency neutral basis compared to the third quarter of 2016. Diluted EPS, before special items, is projected to be between $0.47 and $0.51. Diluted EPS, adjusted for special items, is projected to be between $0.47 and $0.51. Net income is projected to be between $156 million and $169 million. Analysts project third-quarter earnings of $0.5 per share.
