Industrial Nanotech, Inc. Announces Successful Sustainability Project with Unilever Affiliate in Turkey, Unipro
Industrial Nanotech, Inc. (Pink Sheets:INTK), an emerging global leader in nanoscience energy saving solutions, announced today that their Turkish distributor, Kolorgen Ltd, has completed a successful project with Unilever affiliate, Unipro, for insulation of steam lines, valves and steam process equipment with the Company’s patented Nansulate® energy saving coatings. Unipro used Nansulate® High Heat insulation and corrosion control coating and Nansulate® EPX, fast-cure, water-based epoxy insulation coating to insulate equipment at their Corlu Tekirdag, Turkey, manufacturing facility. Initial temperature readings taken showed a reduction of steam line surface temperature from 160C (320F) down to 80C (176F) with an approximate 3 millimeter application. The sustainability project continues with insulation of cold liquid lines and storage tanks.
"The more plants I visit throughout Turkey, the more I realize the importance of Nansulate insulation in achieving energy saving in a very thin and durable coating form,” stated Vedat Bilgin, President, Kolorgen Ltd. "Large manufacturing plants have several kilometers of steam and cold piping which are usually in several lines next to, over, or under one another. This makes the maintenance crew's job enormously difficult to have access to pipes and insulation that needs changing. Using Nansulate, plant crews will have thinnest insulation available in the world in a durable form in harsh environments, as well as easy and rapid access to pipelines that need attention."
Francesca Crolley, V.P. Business Development, Industrial Nanotech, Inc., explains, "We find that in sustainability focused companies, such as Unilever, we end up working with several of their facilities simultaneously. Unilever is no exception to that. We look forward to assisting them in meeting their sustainability and energy saving goals while also providing other benefits, such as improving worker safety by reducing hot surface temperatures, as well as providing a solution with a long-lifespan, thus reducing their maintenance costs.”
Unilever, which started production in Turkey in 1953, also has produced vegetable oils and margarines which are among vital raw materials for Turkish pastry sector and food industry since 1960s. Unipro Gida San. ve Tic. A.S., a Unilever affiliate, carries out sales, marketing and commercial activities in pastry and industrial food sectors, in addition to oils and fats and margarines.
Unilever has more than 400 brands, 12 of which generate sales in excess of €1 billion a year. It is one of the world’s top manufacturers of packaged consumer goods and moves countless products like deodorants, fragrances, soap, margarine, tea and frozen foods all over the world. The corporation sells products in over 150 countries and controls subsidiaries in at least 90 countries.
