Industry Leaders to Share New-Generation Supply Chain Management Success Stories at i2 Planet 2007
Companies around the globe are leveraging new-generation solutions from
i2 Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ITWO) to help drive business efficiency
through a process-driven supply chain. These industry leading companies
will convene at i2 Planet 2007 May 2 – 4 at
the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Fla. to share supply chain best
practices and case studies and to learn methods for driving value to the
extended supply chain.
General session speakers will share insights and strategies for
new-generation supply chain management. Main stage speakers include:
Michael Schofer, vice president of supply chain and chief information
officer, Coats North America
Steven J. Bandrowczak, senior vice president and chief information

Richard Sherman, director of global supply chain strategy, Microsoft

Dr. Ulrich Weingarten, senior director of IT enterprise supply chain

Brett Whitmire, vice president, operations planning, Texas Instruments
Additionally, i2 president and chief executive officer Michael McGrath
will discuss i2’s new-generation solution
strategy and how the company is enabling its customers to overcome
industry challenges through the use of these solutions.
i2 Planet will also feature hands-on demonstrations of the latest
new-generation technology as well as opportunities to network with some
of the world’s top supply chain practitioners.
Attendees can benefit from information-packed breakout sessions,
industry-specific general session meetings and numerous networking
opportunities. The event will offer discussions on how practitioners can

About the speakers:
Since joining Coats plc in 1990, Schofer has worked in various senior
supply chain roles in Germany, Chile, Spain and the United Kingdom
before coming to the United States in 2000. He has worked to bring about
greater efficiencies to the constantly changing textile supply chain. In
addition Schofer has overseen several major supply chain system
implementations, including i2 solutions, which Coats adopted in 2001.
Bandrowczak is responsible for Lenovo’s
information technology strategy and operations, including network
infrastructure, business applications and data security. Before joining
Lenovo, he was executive vice president and worldwide chief information
officer for DHL Worldwide, a subsidiary of the Deutsche Post Worldwide
Network. He was named one of the Top 100 CIOs by Computerworld
magazine in 2004.
Sherman is an internationally recognized writer, researcher and speaker
on trends and issues in supply chain management and related
technologies. As a research director, he successfully launched the
supply chain management advisory services for AMR Research. Throughout
his career, Sherman has held senior management positions with supply
chain software companies and corporations serving clients in retail,
distribution, manufacturing and logistics services. He currently serves
on the board of directors of the Supply Chain Council.
Weingarten is responsible for all of Qimonda’s
global supply chain applications for planning processes, as well as
transactional systems in the fields of inbound and outbound logistics
processes. Prior to joining Qimonda, he was responsible for supply chain
planning and purchasing applications at Infineon Technologies.
Previously, he worked for nearly 10 years as a supply chain management
consultant, conducting projects for both business process reengineering
and IT implementations.
Hahn is responsible for all warehouse logistics activities, supplier
relations, inventory management, and supply/demand planning for all
Sprint Nextel products. In his current role, he has managed the
successful implementation of the i2 replenishment/procurement solution
and the centralization of warehouse facilities from 19 to three. Prior
to joining Sprint Nextel, Hahn was vice president/general manager–Subscriber
Equipment for AT&T Wireless, and was responsible for their warehouse
logistics, warranty and repair, supplier relations, inventory
management, portfolio management, and supply/demand planning.
During his 18 years with Texas Instruments, Whitmire has held numerous
assignments in operations, finance, accounting, marketing and
manufacturing within the various semiconductor business units spanning
DSP, analog, catalog and custom products. Whitimire was named vice
president in June 2003 and assumed responsibility for the operations
planning activity, as well as many of the supply chain processes across
the company, in February 2006.
McGrath has been president and chief executive officer of i2
Technologies, Inc. since February 2005, overseeing the strengthening of
i2’s financial position and launching the
company’s new-generation supply chain
solutions. He is considered an expert in product strategy, product
development and supply chain management. McGrath co-founded Pittiglio
Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM) in 1976 and served as its president and
chief executive officer until his retirement in July 2004.
