Three transportation agencies recognized for progressive approach to
    public service

    Intergraph (NASDAQ:INGR) Mapping and Geospatial Solutions today recognized three state/provisional transportation agencies as recipients of the 2005 GeoSpatial Innovations for Transportation Award. The awards were presented during a reception at the 18th annual GIS for Transportation Symposium (GIS-T), held in Lincoln, Neb.
    Each year, Intergraph honors transportation organizations that have recently implemented innovative solutions that promote the benefits of geospatial technology to advance services for the public. This year's award recipients/projects include:

-- Nevada Department Of Transportation (DOT)/ Safety Management System - The system provides new geospatial analysis capabilities to NDOT's Safety Engineering Section so it can geographically display information about roadway areas with high incidents of vehicle accidents and better probe underlying causes of accidents.

-- Manitoba Transportation and Government Services/Manitoba Roads Information Site - The Web site, http://www.manitoba.ca/roadinfo, provides road condition information for citizens and visitors using static and interactive maps as well as textual reports to keep the public and trucking industry up to date on highway conditions.

-- South Carolina DOT/Emergency Evacuation Web Portal - This Web portal provides government officials, the Emergency Preparedness Office and transportation executives with near real-time information on rapidly changing traffic and evacuation route information.

    "We applaud these customers for implementing progressive systems that will provide better public service on North American roadways," said David Kingsbury, Executive Director, Global Transportation Solution Center, Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions. "From providing better public information to supporting decision making in crisis situations, these systems showcase the innovative possibilities of integrated spatial information environments."
