InvenSense To Reach 1 Billion MEMS Sensors Shipped In Q1 Of Calendar 2015

(RTTNews) - InvenSense Inc. (INVN) said that since starting shipment of MEMS-based sensors in late 2006, it will reach 1 billion devices shipped in the first quarter of calendar 2015.

InvenSense also said that its single chip 6-axis product family for the mobile, wearable, smart home, automotive, and industrial markets will now surpass over five hundred million units shipped worldwide in the first quarter of calendar 2015.

The company noted that Yole Développement has forecast the MEMS Sensors industry to grow from an estimated $13 billion in 2014, to $24 billion by 2019.
