He created a prototype for the STICKY BATTS to serve as a nail-less batten to be placed in the valley of a tile roof. The batten allows for the use of a lipped valley metal. This makes for better drainage. The design anchors tile roofing conveniently. Additionally, it is easy to install.

The inventor's professional experience inspired the idea. "I have been repairing these valleys for over 20 years," he said. "This is the solution that I have come up with."

The original design was submitted to the Fresno office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
