NEW YORK, Aug. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Isaac Toussie has expanded his role in children's based initiatives with crucial support for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). The donations will enable families to secure housing near their hospitalized children and provide basic medical care to underserved communities, among a slew of benefits. Isaac Toussie is an entrepreneur in Brooklyn, New York.

The support from Isaac Toussie and other private donors comes at a time when corporate donations have reached historic lows as a percentage of pretax profits, according to an August 8th, 2013 article on the news site Slate.

While corporate donations as a whole have risen over time, a significant decline in donations as a percentage of profits have created funding shortfalls as the needs of children's charities grows immensely, as noted in the same article.

The RMHC website echoes similar sentiments in noting that added financial and volunteer support is needed to expand its already massive outreach that assists over 7 million children and families each year. Support from individual donors such as Isaac Toussie and increased volunteerism are cited as necessary to expanding children's assistance programs.

Since its inception in 1974, RMHC has expanded to now include 326 Ronald McDonald Houses that allow families to stay together during medical treatment. The charity also makes grants to children's based non-profit organizations and provides academic scholarships to students from across the country, among other charitable activities.

Isaac Toussie's pattern of charitable giving is underpinned by similar themes of empowerment through medical care, academics and social change.

His recent support for teaching scholarships to a cutting edge graduate program in Israel and a girl's academy in rural India both aim to create social change through education. Isaac Toussie is also a Partner for Excellence member for donations to medical research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), as noted in a news release outlining the distinction.
