Itron Inc. Q3 Profit Rises 76%

(RTTNews) - Itron Inc. (ITRI) released earnings for its third quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $29.90 million, or $0.77 per share. This was up from $16.97 million, or $0.44 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.61 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.5% to $506.86 million. This was up from $489.53 million last year.
