ITT Educational Services Files Q1 Form 10-Q, Net Income Surges; Stock Soars

(RTTNews) - ITT Educational Services (ESI), a provider of technology-oriented postsecondary degree programs, Friday said it has filed its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company has now filed all periodic SEC reports required to be filed by it at this time.

For the quarter, net income surged to $10.4 million from $3.6 million. Earnings per share were $0.44, compared to $0.15 last year.

Revenue slipped to $230.0 million from $237.9 million in the prior year.

The stock, which closed at $4.15 on Thursday, surged 36.6 percent in pre-market activity.
