J & J Snack Foods Announces 4% Rise In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - J & J Snack Foods (JJSF) reported a profit for its fourth quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $20.62 million, or $1.10 per share. This was higher than $19.83 million, or $1.05 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.24 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.0% to $262.24 million. This was up from $259.77 million last year.
