J & J Snack Foods Q4 Earnings Rise 18%

(RTTNews) - J & J Snack Foods (JJSF) released a profit for its fourth quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $24.34 million, or $1.29 per share. This was higher than $20.62 million, or $1.10 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.28 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 20.8% to $316.73 million. This was up from $262.24 million last year.
