J.R. Simplot Company Implements Lawson Human Capital Management System

Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that the J.R. Simplot Company (Simplot), a global agribusiness company based in Boise, Idaho, has successfully completed an organization-wide deployment of multiple Lawson Human Capital Management solutions, including the Global Human Resources and Compensation Management applications within Lawson Talent Management and Lawson Human Resource Management. The new Lawson HR applications replaced multiple systems. Lawson made the announcement during the HR Technology Conference and Expo, which opened today in Chicago.

Through its first implementation, Simplot’s adoption of these next-generation HCM solutions mirrors its role as a leader in innovation and efficiency in the agribusiness industry – a strategic decision that will provide the company with cutting edge technology to help support its key organizational and talent management goals.

Core to this deployment is the successful implementation of the Lawson Talent Management applications – Global Human Resources and Compensation Management, which are designed to help organizations optimize their workforce. As an example, Simplot is now beginning to use the software suite to build a more sustainable HR strategy around attracting, developing and retaining high performers and critical talent. It provides a tool to help HR executives and managers make more informed decisions about the organization’s people.

"We want Simplot to continue to be a highly desirable workplace that focuses on strengthening employee talent and driving operational excellence. Lawson’s offerings will help us more effectively accomplish these goals by providing valuable insights into critical workforce information,” said Roger Parks, CIO of J.R. Simplot Company. "Lawson worked closely with us throughout the entire process to make sure the solutions they provided were the best fit for our specific needs. Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality products and service, and we view Lawson as a long-term partner to help us meet our objectives.”

"We created Lawson Talent Management to help customers like Simplot move from simply managing core HR processes to being much more strategic and effective in how they manage key talent in their organizations,” said Larry Dunivan, senior vice president of Human Capital Management Products for Lawson. "Today’s organizations need to be much more nimble in managing their talent pools and identifying and retaining top performers. Doing so, they can enable their employees to thrive in their positions and career paths. Lawson Talent Management provides tools and resources to help move that from being an HR dream to a reality.”
