Janus Capital Group Announces 21% Fall In Q1 Bottom Line
(RTTNews) - Janus Capital Group (JNS) revealed a profit for first quarter that retreated from last year.
The company said its bottom line declined to $35.1 million, or $0.19 per share. This was lower than $44.6 million, or $0.23 per share, in last year's first quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.20 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 5.4% to $248.5 million. This was down from $262.7 million last year.
