Jefferies Executives Take Drug Tests

(RTTNews) - Several executives of Jefferies Group Inc. (JEF), including its chief executive Rich Handler, have taken drug tests to prove wrong allegation that some of the company's executives were drug abusers.

The tests were done following accusation leveled by the estranged wife of Sage Kelly, chief of the investment bank's healthcare group, who is fighting a divorce battle. Kelly is now said to be taking a leave of absence from the firm.

In an attempt to get custody of their two children, Kelly's wife Christina has accused him of drug abuse, and unacceptable behavior, which found place in tabloids. She named several executives of the firm of using drugs.

Jefferies reportedly said that all tests came back drug free.
