Jefferies Expands U.S. Financial Sponsors Investment Banking

Jefferies announced today the addition of David Luse as a Managing Director in the firm’s Financial Sponsors Investment Banking Group. He will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office and will focus on coverage of private equity clients across the Western United States.

"The addition of David Luse significantly expands our coverage of the financial sponsor clients across Northern and Southern California,” commented Benjamin D. Lorello, Global Head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets at Jefferies. "David will work in partnership with Dan Esters, who is also a Managing Director in our Financial Sponsor Group focused on West Coast coverage of private equity clients.”

"We are pleased to welcome David to Jefferies,” added Adam Sokoloff, Global Head of Financial Sponsors Coverage at Jefferies. "His established relationships with large and mid-sized West Coast private equity clients is extremely complementary to our existing financial sponsor coverage in this region.”

Mr. Luse brings to Jefferies 15 years of experience. He joins the firm from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (and its predecessor Merrill Lynch), where he was a Managing Director and spent 12 years in their Los Angeles and San Francisco investment banking offices, including the last eight years exclusively in Financial Sponsor Coverage of West Coast private equity firms. Previously, he spent three years at Morgan Stanley in investment banking in New York and London. He received his BA from Columbia University and his MBA from Stanford University.

Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE:JEF), a global securities and investment banking firm, has served companies and investors for nearly 50 years.
