Jim Ellis Audi and Volvo Dealerships Host Community Meal Drive to Feed Essential Workers and Homebound Seniors

ATLANTA, April 28, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Audi Atlanta, Audi Marietta and Volvo Cars of Marietta have joined forces with local food service partners for a community meal drive providing prepared meals to first responders, medical workers and homebound seniors. The three automotive dealerships, all part of the Jim Ellis family of dealerships, are currently pledging to match a meal for every meal purchased from the public.

In a collaborative effort with Bold Catering & Design, Old Vinings Inn, and Lovies BBQ, the dealerships welcome the public to make a donation that will in turn be matched. The campaign is currently underway and will run until the matching goal has been reached. The community drive will help eradicate hunger for senior citizens while keeping them safe from the novel Coronavirus. The food relief efforts will also help feed frontline workers at several local hospitals and at police and fire departments in the Atlanta area.

Caring for our Seniors

Bold Catering & Design is currently preparing meals for the Atlanta Meals on Wheels Program. Meals on Wheels Atlanta is fighting senior hunger and supporting the vulnerable senior neighbors during the COVID-19 crisis. With a $10 contribution, you can provide two meals to local homebound seniors. When you donate two meals for $10, Audi Atlanta, Audi Marietta, or Volvo Cars of Marietta will match those donations for the first 2,000 meals.

Caring for our Healthcare Workers

Audi Marietta and Volvo Cars of Marietta have also partnered with Old Vinings Inn, who are preparing and delivering a special three-course meal to frontline healthcare workers at Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital. Donors can provide these heroes a meal for $15 and donations will be matched for the first 240 meals.

Caring for our First Responders

Lovies BBQ is currently cooking for first responders and healthcare workers to show their appreciation to those courageous workers during this difficult time. You can donate a meal for $10 and Audi Atlanta will match that donation for the first 200 meals. Lovies BBQ is delivering 50 to 100 meals at a time to Piedmont, Emory, Northside, Atlanta Medical Center & the VA Hospitals.
