KCI Focuses on Growing its Business in Asia Pacific with the Creation of a New Regional President Role

Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (NYSE:KCI), a global medical technology company with leadership positions in advanced wound care and therapeutic services, today announced the appointment of Patrick Loh to the newly-created position of President – Asia Pacific and member of the KCI Executive Committee. In this role, Loh will report directly to Catherine Burzik, President and CEO, and will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s growth strategies for its V.A.C.® Therapy and therapeutic surfaces businesses throughout the region. He will be located in Shanghai, China. Loh joins KCI from Thermo Fisher Scientific, a world leader in life sciences, where he was Vice President – Asia Pacific. Prior to that, Loh was General Manager – Greater China for Fisher Scientific International. Loh began his business career at B. Braun Medical AG, a German healthcare company with products in both the hospital and home patient care market, where he spent nearly 11 years in positions of increasing responsibility that included Sales Executive for the Intravenous Therapy Division in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Regional Group Product Manager for the Medical Division in the Asia Pacific Region; Head of the Outpatient Market Division for China and Hong Kong; and Head of the Medical Division for the China and Hong Kong regions. Patrick holds a degree in marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK, a master’s in Business Administration from Kensington University in California, and an Executive MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and Indonesian.
