Kincannon & Reed Expands European Food and Agribusiness Recruiting Practice

WASHINGTON, July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Kincannon & Reed, the leading global retained executive search firm serving the agribusiness, food, and life sciences sectors, today announced that Michael Whitney has joined the firm as a Managing Director. Whitney will be based west of London, England.

Whitney joins Kincannon & Reed following a twenty year international career in senior executive and Board-level positions in the agribusiness, food, and beverage sectors in the U.K., Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Most recently, Whitney led engagements for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and various private equity funds in Eastern Europe and Africa. Whitney is a non-executive director on the boards of two leading privately owned agribusinesses in Eastern Europe.

Earlier in his career, Whitney held regional European leadership roles for Bunge Ltd, Reckitt Benckiser, and Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine. In addition, he served as a Captain in the British Army and is a graduate of The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.
