Knoll Posts Higher Profit For Q2, Beats Estimates - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Knoll Inc. (KNL) Friday reported higher income for the second quarter, reflecting 24 percent growth in sales. Earnings beat consensus estimates. The company's net income for the period rose 36.7 percent to $10.8 million or $0.23 per share from $7.9 million or $0.17 per share a year ago. Quarterly sales climbed 24 percent to $265.8 million from $214.3 million in the year-ago quarter. On an organic basis, excluding the impact of Holly Hunt acquisition, sales increased 11.4 percent year-over-year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.22 per share and revenues of $251.97 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items. Operating profit for the quarter totaled $22.2 million, compared with $12.4 million in the second quarter of 2013.
