Launch of the Québec Savings Bonds Sales Campaign

QUÉBEC, Sept. 29, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The Ministère des Finances du Québec today announced that the sales campaign for the November 1, 2017 issue of Québec Savings Bonds begins October 2, 2017.

These bonds are redeemable at any time without penalty and will bear interest at 1.40% until October 31, 2018. Thereafter, the interest rate will be determined annually according to market conditions.

At the same time, the Ministère des Finances announced that the rate on outstanding Québec Savings Bonds will be set at 1.40% as of October 2, 2017.

Savings and retirement products issued by the Québec government are offered by Épargne Placements Québec with no management or administration fees. They are safe, flexible, advantageous investment vehicles that enable Quebecers to grow their savings while contributing to the development of Québec.

Most of these products are eligible for the Investment Savings (non-registered account), TFSA, RRSP, RRIF, LIRA and LIF accounts. They can be obtained by calling an Épargne Placements Québec investment officer at 1 800 463-5229, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
