Leidos Wins $4.3 Bln Defense Contract

(RTTNews) - Leidos Holdings Inc. (LDOS) has won a defense contract to provide an electronic health-records system worth $4.3 billion.

The contract, known as the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) program, allows patients and clinicians to record and share health data.

Cerner Corp. (CERN), Accenture Federal Services (ACN) and Henry Schein Inc. (HSIC) will also be part of the team to work on the contract.

The $4.3 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a two-year initial ordering period, two three-year option periods, and a potential two-year additional term that may be earned through a successful evaluation, bringing the total ordering period to 10 years.
