LifePoint Q2 Profit More Than Doubles, Revises Outlook For FY17

(RTTNews) - LifePoint Health Inc. (LPNT) announced more than double increase in second quarter net income attributable to the company to $42.5 million from $16.9 million last year. On a per share basis, earnings climbed to $1.03 from $0.38 in the prior year.

Revenue for the quarter were at $1.594 billion from $1.816 billion in the same quarter last year.

Looking ahead tot he full year 2017, the company revised up its revenue estimates in a range of $6.425 to $6.5 billion. The company previously expected revenues in a range of $6.5 - $6.6 Bln

Current estimated adjusted earnings per share for full year is in a range of $3.92 to $4.20. February guidance was in a range of $4.05 - $4.34 per share.
