Lincoln Financial Adds Industry Veteran to Institutional Retirement Distribution Team

RADNOR, Pa., July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln Financial Group's (NYSE: LNC) Retirement Plan Services business today announced that Troy Fontenote has joined as a Sales Director for the Institutional Retirement Distribution (IRD) team. Fontenote supports the Southcentral region of the country and is based in Houston, Texas. He reports to Michael Hall, IRD National Sales Director for Lincoln's Retirement Plan Services.

Fontenote has more than 21 years of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining Lincoln, he was Director of Sales at Principal Financial Group, focused on marketing a suite of retirement plan solutions from micro plans to the institutional sector. Fontenote also held several related positions with other firms in the financial services industry throughout his career. He received his bachelor's degree in marketing from Lamar University and holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 licenses. Fontenote is also a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS).
