Lions Gate Expanded Domestic Home Distribution Deal With Miramax

(RTTNews) - Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (LGF) said Tuesday that it has expanded its domestic home entertainment distribution deal with Miramax to include more than 250 additional titles.

The newly-expanded agreement builds on an existing distribution deal between Lionsgate and Miramax, first announced in early 2011, and brings the total number of Miramax titles available exclusively through Lionsgate via DVD, Blu-Ray, EST and Internet Video on Demand to more than 700. New additions to the library include Robert Rodriguez's renowned From Dusk Till Dawn, iconic horror properties such as Dracula, The Faculty and franchise titles from The Prophecy, Halloween and Children of the Corn, prestige titles including Marvin's Room with Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep, The Shipping News starring Kevin Spacey and Julianne Moore, The Grifters, Her Majesty Mrs. Brown, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Dirty Pretty Things and Fresh as well as family titles including the Pokemon franchise, among others.

The first wave of Blu-ray and DVD titles to be released under the new deal will be timed for Halloween availability and includes From Dusk Till Dawn, The Faculty and Venom, along with key titles from classic franchises including Halloween, Prophecy, Children of the Corn, Wes Craven Presents Dracula, Hellraiser and The Crow collections.
