Lockdown at Bowden Institution - Medium security unit
INNISFAIL, AB, Feb. 6, 2019 /CNW/ - On February 4, 2019, at about 12:15 p.m., a lockdown was put in place in the medium security unit at Bowden Institution due to an ongoing labour complaint.
Bowden Institution management is currently working with the Union of Canadian Correctional Officers (UCCO) and Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) to resolve staff concerns.
Visits have been suspended until the situation is resolved.
