ManTech International Corporation Names L. William Varner President of its Mission, Cyber & Technology Solutions Group
ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) has named L. William Varner president of its Mission, Cyber & Technology Solutions Group, which is being created through a combination of the company’s Information Systems & Technology, and Security & Mission Assurance Groups. Mr. Varner is joining ManTech International Corporation from Northrop Grumman TASC, where he was the Vice President, Corporate Officer, and Executive Director of the Intelligence Operating Unit. Mr. Varner has had a distinguished career of over 30 years with TASC, and previously he was with ESL, Inc.

Before joining ManTech International Corporation, Mr. Varner was a core member of the senior executive team that grew Northrop Grumman TASC to approximately $2 billion in annual revenues. In his role as Vice President, he led over 1,000 employees in the Intelligence Operating Unit in delivering leading-edge and innovative technical solutions and operations support to the Defense and Intelligence Communities. While at TASC, Mr. Varner led his team to achieve their first corporate Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 5 Certification in software development, as well as leading several multi $100 million strategic proposal wins. Before joining TASC, Mr. Varner was with ESL, Inc. Mr. Varner is a graduate of George Washington University (BSEE with Special Honors), Purdue University (MSEE), and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (MBA). Mr. Varner also has advanced studies certificates from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School (Financial Management), Harvard University (Management), and the University of Virginia Darden School (Leadership), and the California Institute of Technology (Technology Management).
