Marathon Oil Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) Monday reported third-quarter net income of $569 million or $0.80 per share, compared to $450 million or $0.63 per share in the prior year quarter.

Adjusted earnings for the latest third quarter rose to $617 million or $0.87 per share from $454 million or $0.64 per share in the year-ago period.

Total revenues declined to $3.91 billion from $4.16 billion in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.77 per share on revenues of $3.80 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
