Match Group To Acquire PlentyOfFish In $575 Mln Cash Deal

(RTTNews) - Match Group, a digital dating products operator and a subsidiary of IAC/Interactive Corp. (IACI) Tuesday said it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase of online dating site PlentyOfFish for $575 million in cash.

The transaction is expected to close early in the fourth quarter. PlentyOfFish was founded in Canada in 2003 and is currently popular in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Brazil, the United States, apart from its home country.

Sam Yagan, CEO of Match Group said the addition of PlentyOfFish would bring new members and help improve its portfolio.
